Lorraine Coyle is of counsel to the firm and concentrates her practice on family law, including divorce and custody mediation, real estate, and elder law, including trusts and estates and guardianship proceedings.
Lorraine graduated from Queens College in 1972 and from St. John’s University School of Law in 1980, having attended school at night and paid her way, in part, by driving a taxi. At law school, Lorraine was a member of the Law Review, graduated on the Dean’s List, and won the New York/Connecticut Client Counseling Competition. Upon graduating, Lorraine took the bar, placing #2 in New York State. Lorraine then worked for several years in the corporate department of a Wall Street law firm and then formed her own firm, Coyle & Associates, which she continues to operate out of offices in Riverdale, The Bronx.
Lorraine has lectured on real estate transfers, Medicaid planning and tax savings through estate planning. She was a member of the Disciplinary Committee of the Appellate Division, First Department, is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and was a Director of the Elder Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. She is a past president of the Bronx Women’s Bar Association.
